Being from the "old school" of shooting, large objective lenses are prohibited. Anything larger than 40mm is a no go and I prefer 32mm to 38mm. This lets me mount the scope low to where my cheek naturally rests on the stock. Obviously this 38mm allows me to do the same. Most of you "50mm guys" just don't get it. It doesn't take a large optic to shoot long distances! I was raised with the older generation Weaver scopes and they're were truely tough. Hardcore TOUGH and would take massive abuse. I was a little concerned when ordering my V10 because it has been years since I purchased a new Weaver. I must say I now know that I made a very wise purchase. The 2-10 power range covers any situation that I'll encounter. Please note, my V10 has the Ballistic-X reticle. It gets me on target out to 600 yds. I reload and I load to the specs of the reticle for my caliber. Its a fabulous and practical reticle. As with most scopes, when you learn the subtension measurements, you can estimate on range. I will be buying another one of these scopes to mount on my other CF rifle. And probably a rimfire version for a 10/22. Don't let the relatively low cost fool you.... this scope delivers!!!!!
Pros: Practical, Tough, Low Cost
Cons: None
