The nylon specialized brushes work great, holding up well for multiple cleanings so far. The included plastic rod/handle works good for its intended purpose. Attach the chamber brush or bolt carrier brush to the included rod/handle, squirt some CLP on it, insert into the appropriate area and twist. This makes cleaning these areas fast and easy.

The included rod/handle is non-free-rotating, which is exactly what is needed for cleaning the chamber and the bolt carrier. It works fine with the mag well brush too.

Note that this specialized brush set is intended as an addition to other cleaning supplies (CLP solvent, bore snake or long cleaning rod, etc.) For a rifle barrel, you would likely want to obtain either a bore snake or a separate cleaning rod of sufficient length to clean the bore with the bore brush attached. A free-rotating rod is useful when using a bore brush for cleaning a barrel with rifling. A non-free-rotating rod/handle is useful when cleaning the star chamber and bolt carrier because you want your hand to control the twisting of the rod as the brush has friction against the interior surface of the bolt carrier or star chamber or mag well. Again, this product includes a non-free-rotating one piece rod/handle.
