Wheeler honing bar - Wheeler Scope Ring Alignment and Lapping Kits

Having bought a 1” Wheeler honing kit before through Optics Planet before, I had no doubt their service would be great. The 34” bar performed as expected. There’s two good reasons why you should hone your scope mounts. Firstly, the factory mounting surface probably will only contact the scope at the edge/s of the mount. This could result in your screws loosening over time. Secondly, achieving a 70% mating to the scope greatly increases holding strength with the recommended torque. Too much torque will crush your scope tube!
