Wicked edge venture sharpener - Wicked Edge Precision Knife Guide for Venture Series Sharpeners, Set of 3

Wicked Edge arguably makes the very best knife sharpener in the country. The Venture isn’t it. After a stalled drop, I was finally able to get one of these. It was very disappointing. It came with one 500 grit sharpening plate and a 20 degree guide. It is awkward to use and did not produce an edge. The latest purchase was a set of three additional guides: 15, 17 and 25 degree. I just got these from Optical Planet. They are great to have but the sharpener is still awkward. Wicked Edge has a much refined version of the Venture Sharpener but I can’t afford it. It is adjustable and seems to be a much smoother working product. I will just add this one to the very large and growing pile of worthless knife sharpeners. The best I have found are ceramic sticks. I never use my knives for anything but cutting so my blades are never abused. I recommend the Spyderco ceramic sticks. I’ve had mine for 45 years and they have never failed me.
