Beans's Review of Wilder Tactical Multi Holster Platform Kit V2
I started building a competition belt and didn’t want it breaking the bank. I want it to resemble my all day padded pistol belt. It’s built as a put it on and go system with the basics and a couple extras.
So far; the decision to build the same thing but lighter, less gear and cheaper is working out. Well sort of. Tough to find cheaper and’ lighter components so sticking to the less is lighter concept.
Checks all the function related criteria. Color and matching are not a concern but I try to steer away from plain black (hot town). I try but not with a deal like this.
While seeking an FDE and/or Coyote brown mid ride 1.75” QLS system with a leg strap I found the Wilder Tactical QLS belt mount. This was the only mount I could find complete for well under $100.
A mid ride QLS belt mount that comes with stabilizing thigh strap (retail $95).
I would’ve had to purchase everything online “a la carte” putting a Safariland 1.75” CUBL with QLS receiver, Forge Concepts grommeted leg strap w/ Cobra buckle easily over $100 before tax and shipping.
I snagged the Wilder Tactical Black, Multi-Cam Black QLS system with a Cobra buckle for under $62 shipped. I picked up a 12% discount, free shipping and threw in my hard earned 2.40 OP bucks. What A Steal.
Onto why I dig the actual mount. It’s a well thought out system and a complete package.
Takes up significantly less real-estate on the belt than a CUBL. The leg strap has a unique swivel with varied-threaded mounting positions available (three I believe). Varied belt mounting interface solutions. I picked up the 1.75” mount with QLS and Cobra thigh strap.
I’m a Safariland fan. Wilder uses a trusted Safariland QLS receiver plate. Leg strap is close to the Forge Concepts with the Cobra buckle. It’s well built with adjustment and modularity in mind. Besides the Cobra buckle, I don’t like putting big flat pieces of metal on or against my thigh. I trust in plastics and polymers to flex and not break. Nothing against other more expensive MHS systems available at $85 give or take. Add, QLS, Cobra buckled thigh strap, misc. spacers-hardware and individual shipping costs? It gets ridiculous.
This one is a complete package and a great value in my humble opinion.
