A huge improvement over the newer 'stock' plastic sights - Williams Gun Sight Traditions Muzzleloader Fire Sight Set

Expectations was marked at 4 stars only because the front sight uses only one screw to fasten to the barrel - not a big deal as a spot of blue loctite is more than enough to keep it in place. The nuisance here is that the front of the sight does not quite cover the first screw hole in the barrel so I had to fill in the hole to avoid dirt,water etc getting in there. A bit of melted black wax pencil did the trick. I saw my groups improve quite a bit over the plastic sights my Traditions Buckstalker originally came with. The fiber optic dots are quite small but bright, making this sight set sturdy and accurate in use.
Pros: proper adjustment of the rear sight is possible. the smaller bead on the front sight and narrow notch on the rear sight really improves accuracy.
Cons: front sight fastens with only one screw and the sight base does not quite cover the forward hole in the barrel that the old plastic sight was mounted with.
