Wilson combat extended checkered magazine release - a worthwhile upgrade - Wilson Combat Extended Checkered Steel Magazine Release

My Italian Beretta 92FS came with a plastic mag release, which I wanted to replace with a metal part. I've fitted it with CT lasergrips and really needed an extended mag release button. The Wilson Combat Extended Checkered Steel Magazine Release is just what I was looking for. I would have given it 5 stars but it required a little fitting to install in my 92. The slot for the spring loaded bushings was slightly too short for me to compress the mag release toward to smooth side to get it installed. I noticed that the slot was a few thousandths shorter in comparison to the original part. A few moments with a safe-side file resolved that, and then it popped right in like it was supposed to. The WC part is very well crafted and nicely finished - the finish is quite durable. The fine checkering is just right offering excellent traction without being unnecessarily abrasive. I would definitely recommend this part.
Be advised, it may or may not require minor fitting. In any case, the WC extended checkered mag release is a nice upgrade to the cheesy plastic OEM Beretta plastic part. Beretta offers a similar upgrade, but the checkering on the WC release is a lot nicer.
