Poor quality

Guide rod is not smooth as you would expect, rough and bumpy. While I don't think it will cause any issue mechanically, you get a nice scraping sound of the spring on the guide rod. A standard Beretta plastic and metal guide rod both feel smooth and are virtually silent once lubed. Perhaps after a 10,000 rounds the roughness of the guide rod will smooth out from the scraping.

Guide rod diameter is also much thinner than a stock rod which visually looks odd and I if I used my pistol in adverse conditions I would be worried about dirt getting into the end.

All downsides to this product over a stock with the only plus a supposed possible spring life increase...

Great M9 upgrade!

This was the last Wilson part I needed to finish upgrading my M9. Noticeable enough difference with cycling improvement! Best part is the buffer reducing, if not eliminating, the slide pounding against the aluminum frame. Very nice piece of mind and excellent long-term service to be expected with any Wilson Combat part! Really wish I had an M9 like this one while in the Navy. Oh well, I have it now!!! Thanks Optic team for another quick turn around on this order!

Great spring kit

Great recoil spring kit with steel rod. Made by Wilson it’s very good quality and a nice upgrade from the stock plastic one. The flat spring is touted to never wear out. Guess time will tell. Happy with the purchase.
