Just plain cheap!!!
I added the Winchester hygrometer to my order to reach free shipping dollar amount. Big Mistake! This thing takes cheap and ripoff to new levels. It may look like chromed metal in the image, but it's nothing but pure, unadulterated plastic. Weighs only 3/4 of an ounce! I know everything is made of plastic these days, but for $20, come on! This thing is so cheap, even the cellophane lens protector is too small for the lens it supposed to protect.
Given there are any number of all-in-one weather units available for $20 or less, that provide both indoor and outdoor temps, humidity, trends,even a clock, I really thought this unit was going to be of a higher quality and more substantial. You know...something worthy of placing in a $1000 safe with $1000's of dollars worth of firearms. Surely this is a freebie, a joke, some trinket given away for the purchase of a Winchester Safe. This belongs in a Dollar General store, not in a gun safe.
