For the past several years .22 Winchester shells have been worthless. Normally 2 out out 5 were duds. It became very frustrating to both the starter and the runners when trying to start a race and the shell would not fire. These shells from Optics Planet fire 99.9% of the time with both a loud report and plenty of smoke, both of which are essential when starting a race during a track and field meet.
Pros:
- They work all of the time.
Cons:
- They are too pricey.
Best Used for:
- High school and middle school track meets
