Deadly medicine for prairie dogs - Winchester Varmint X LF .17 Winchester Super Magnum 15 grain Rapid Expansion Polymer Tip Rimfire Ammunition

I just took a trip to western South Dakota, for a couple days of prairie dog hunting. This round is deadly out to 250 yards. I have been shooting 17 HMR, and there is a noticeable flatter trajectory, over the HMR. I was worried about wind deflection, with such a light bullet. This was not evident. My rifle is zeroed at 200 yards. Ruger 77/17 24 inch barrel. I am using a Mueller 4.5-14 Scope purchased right here at Optics planet. A deadly combo. Great hunt!
