Does not fit older sig 228 - X-GRIP Sig P228/229 Magazine Spacer

I bought 2 of these to clean up the look on my 228 that I run with the 15 round 226 magazines. The magazines are OEM mecgar german manufactured sig mags. They did not fit over the base plate of the magazines. The front lip of the floor plate prevented the xgrip from properly attaching. I tried inserting the magazine with the xgrip into the gun and it would not go up high enough to engage. Basically wasted $32 on 2 xgrips and I'm outside my return window of 3 months. With covid I don't have time to test my gear as soon as it comes in. Even if they had fit, I'd probably rate it a 3 because the plastic is thin and cheap. I actually bough another for my glock 23 and that one was good. Interesting the glock one was of a different rubbery material while the sig ones were thin plastic.
