As a BUIS option, these are well built sights. What makes them so great is the CSAT aperture. I've gone thru scenarios for CQB and 100 yard shots and this aperture allows you to transition fluidly between them without adjusting the power on an optic. It's calibrated to work as a pistol sight at 7 yards and a regular rifle sight at 100 yards and beyond.
I've got the CSAT aperture on old fashioned fixed irons as well. I put the flip up version when I run an optic with a QD attachment and fixed on other rifles.
