Much better but not great - Yukon NVMT 1x24mm Night Vision Goggle Headgear Kit

I reviewed another night vision set up for Optics Planet, and this model is by far better. The image is fairly clear without a fish eye effect. The IR head light is a virtual blow torch making even the darkest of rooms look bright. This unit is gen1 tech so it's not going to be as good as the $2-$3 thousand models we had in the military, but it's a huge step up from a white or red lense flashlight. Not suitable for blackout driving.

Things that aren't so great? The head set wasn't made for an adult skull. The head set is right eye only (although I was able to find a left eye set). They do not make a rhino plate attachment so mounting it on a helmet will be a trick. While not quite soldier proofed, it has an eyelet for a dummy cord. It fits nicely in a double M4 mag pouch which I was able to reinforce with part of a plastic milk jug. Overall the unit it's self is good the headset leaves a lot to be desired.
