I bought this two and a half years ago for my Ruger 2245. I can not tell you if it will hold up on a larger caliber rifle but its worked great for my 2245. Cons are it takes a min. to acquire the dot. Changing the battery is also a pain. You have to take the site off and its under the unit. So far its worked well though. Small so it does not interfere with my 2245.
Pros:
  • Inexpensive
  • Small
  • holds up on 22lr in my exp.
Cons:
  • changing battery is a pain
  • acquireing the red dot is not fast
Best Used for:
  • 22LR
