Most Helpful Positive Review Great scope
Mounted the 6-24x50 illuminated on a Ruger precision in 6.5 creedmore. The gun and scope loved each other at first sight! Quality of scope is great in my opinion. The low light capability of this scope honestly impressed me the first time I went out at dusk to that it out. Obviously, the lower the m...

Most Helpful Negative Review Poor clarity
I order this one for a new rifle and the glass was pretty poor. I have an older one I put on my wife’s rifle and it’s a great scope with crystal clear glass. I was not impressed I compared it side by side with my daughter vortex crossfire and I’d take it over this scope. Even had a few other people...

Zeiss Conquest V4 6-24x50 with ZBR-Reticle

by Wyoming Hunter, from WY, United States Written on December 18, 2023
This scope is amazing! I love the clarity of the glass, the eye relief, fast target acquisition, and how smoothly the zoom works. I own several more expensive scopes (Huskemaw, Swarovski, Nightforce) and the glass is just as good. The zoom is smoother on this Zeiss than any of them!
Pros:
  • Glass, Zoom, COST
Cons:
  • none yet
Best Used for:
  • hunting, target

Very nice piece of glass. the illumination levels are excellent, and your favorite setting is always one click away. I shot a 2 1/2 inch group at 300 years, new rifle, new scope first time out. The POptic Planet coupon discount made it that much better.

Very good scope for the money.

by Hoover, from NV, United States Written on April 1, 2021
Before you read this know that I AM a Night Force fan through and through, but....
I bought this scope to replace my NF. YES, I said REPLACE it bc the reticle in my NSX is so outdated-the MOAR reticle has NO WIND HOLDS. This Zeiss #65 reticle is just like the MOAR but it has 2 min. wind dots and makes it MUCH more accurate than holding for wind in the middle of nowhere. The glass is better, the reticle is better for %40 less money than my NSX. With a 20 min. rail on my rifle I still have over 60 min. of internal elevation. It seems to be working very well but I only have about 100 rounds through it. I hit 954 yards my first shot last week but I have not gone further than that yet. I typically do not like Zeiss products because I bought a scope many years ago and it took them 27 weeks to change the reticle in it and get it back to me. 6 mos. was too long for me. However, I saw the review with Tom Beckstrand and the V4 and I thought I'd give it a shot. Only time will tell but it seems to be a solid product for decent price. JMO
Good luck.
Pros:
  • Price
  • Quality
  • glass
  • Reticle and clarity
Cons:
  • None for me

Zeiss Scope

by steve, from SC, United States Written on December 23, 2020
The product is everything I expected from Zeiss. High quality and top of the line optics. Working with Optics Planet was easy and the process was simple. I had another purchase I needed to return and they handled that process very well.

Zeiss quality for those who prefer SFP and MOA

by GreatNorthern, from VA, United States Written on September 3, 2020
The Zeiss Conquest V6 5-30 is an outstandingly simple yet quality scope, particularly for those who prefer shooting Second Focal Plane (SFP). Additionally, the scope is offered in MOA for those who don’t use MIL. Optical quality is exactly what one would expect from Zeiss. Scope is made in Germany, is relatively light weight compared to competitors scopes. This is my third Conquest V6 and 10th Zeiss scope, they are have an great zero-stop feature and just perform. Highly recommended.
Pros:
  • Build quality, weight, features
Cons:
  • Lack of sunshade, Zeiss flips are awkwardly expensive
Best Used for:
  • Distance shooting, area over watch

I ended up getting 2

by justin, from IA, United States Written on February 26, 2020
I'll admit, I went back and fourth on the initial purchase of this for about 2 months because of the price. I know the general rule for quality is you get what you pay for, but my head and my gut were saying two different things...no surprise there. After acquiring a new rifle and playing with the ZEISS app for a while, I finally decided that this was going to be too easy and there was no reason NOT to try it out... and am I ever glad I did! In the app, you just pick your optic, caliber, load and zero then it tells you the exact ballistics of your shot out to 1000 yards. With 80 inches of adjustment on the elevation turret, I can hold on target with every single shot and make impact (as long as I do my job). I loved that scope so much, I bought a second one. My first one currently sits on a .22-250 and has the illuminated reticle for low light and night hunting coyotes. The second one is on top of a Bergara Highlander 6.5PRC. This scope is amazingly clear in every situation that I have been in with both rifles. Each have the 30mm tube and they gather a ton of light and extends my shooting time at dusk/dawn, and it outperforms every other optic in the safe.
Lets just say I'm glad I went with my gut on this one! Hands down the best optics out there.
Pros:
  • Clarity
  • Functionality
  • Waterproof
  • Light Gathering
  • reticle options
  • Range
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • hunting
  • target
  • Rifles
  • Low light
  • long range

Zeiss conquest V4 6x24x50 Scope

by hendu88, from SD, United States Written on January 31, 2020
Bought in 2019 and already been used and abused. To start off the durability of this scope is attractive. On my first hunt I slipped crossing a creek, I fell, and my scope clearly hit something hard. Concerned my shot placement may be off, I setup a target and checked my sighting, it stayed right where I wanted/expected it to be.
One of the deer I killed in 2019 was 380 yards away – I was easily able to adjust my turret and make perfect shot placement.
Another one of my deer I shot in 2019 was down in a creek bottom 2 minutes before end of shooting time. It was even more dark down in that creek and I barely could make the deer our with my naked eye. The light intake of this scope made it easy to find my target and make a good shot. There was 0 question of what I was looking at or where I was aiming.
Pros:
  • Light in take, turret
Cons:
  • None

Quality Glass with an Excellent Turret

by Hank, from GA, United States Written on August 27, 2019
I have this scope mounted on a 260 Remington and have been thoroughly impressed. I have used this optic in two one thousand yard matches so far. I shoot prone with a bipod. Stepping up from a scope that retails for about half this price has made a noticeable difference in my long range shooting experience. The first thing I noticed was how much easier it is to get a good sight picture. Additionally, I immediately noticed that the elevation turret is more accurate than my previous scope. With my previous scope the elevation that I dialed for 1,000 yards was about 1.5 MOA less than my data indicated I should dial. After zeroing, the Zeiss immediately agreed with my data. The elevation turret is the highlight of this optic in my opinion, clicks are positive and confidence inspiring. The markings on the turret are easily readable and each revolution of the turret gives 20 minutes of elevation. The reticle is clean and easy to use. The windage turret is capped which is a matter of preference. The windage turret itself tracked well when I zeroed the scope at 100 yards, but I hold for windage and cannot comment on tracking at distance. Clarity is good and spotting impacts on steel is easier than with my previous scope. Overall quality is what you would expect from a German optic company.
Pros:
  • Quality, Clarity, Value
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Long range shooting and hunting

Get what you pay for.

by hooty, Verified Owner from VA, United States Written on March 25, 2019
Love this scope and Ziess is quality. Crystal clear and good at low light and Smooth tracking . Zero stop feature is nice. The scope is very light weight for its size. I will be using it more for hunting applications.I have the option of either dialing the yardage in or using the Z reticle for bdc. . that's just awesome. I had a nikon fail me on back country hunt couldn't take the pounding. I have confidence this ziess scope will hold up to the torture just like my ziess binoculars that I've used for 15 years and put through the ringer and at the end of the day you get what you pay for in a ziess. If I had to pick one thing I don't like it would be the adjustment knob for left/ right it's very small and sensitive to lock .
