Typical for zeiss - Zeiss Victory FL DiaScope 85T* FL straight with Vario 20-75x Eyepiece

I was looking for a scope. Just one that would work, and not one that I'd replace in a few years after making do with what I was able to afford at the time. SoI saved my pennies for a few months and got a diascope with the expensive eyepiece. Having a pair of zeiss binos that really got me hooked on the brand, I decided to give a shot at these first and then see where my research took me. First off, this thing is large. It will fit in my daypack with the eyepiece off, with all of my other crap that I carry hiking but not on. I'll be getting a slightly larger bag sometime soon, this scope is a awesome to look through. I did have a chance to look through the other big names, and I was not able to descriminate enough difference to make up the cost of the more expensive scopes. Bottom line this scope hits the sweet spot in price for the top of the line. However, you can get 90% of the scope for a lot less from other makers. The 10% of the time that you need better glass makes it worth it to me.
