Good scope for 5.45 rifles and ak family rifles. - Zenit RSP-1 Tactical Periscopic Combat Red Dot Sight, Universal AK/SKS/SVD Version

Saw this in 2011 and put off buying for years.Rugged military construction like all Russian confederation (MILSPEC)non commercial scopes.Does indeed allow you to shoot at 45 degree angles around corners and from behind berms without exposing yourself. No problem hitting a man size target at close range."not that I would do that"but thats what it was made to do after all.You do have to move a lever to switch between reticles. This also uses 1 AA battery.I dont think Zenit manufacturers it,just markets it.More then likely made by Belomo in Belarus, they for years have manufactured camera lenses, satellite imaging lenses, advanced fiberoptics, and rifle scopes. All in all if you want one it is a nice scope.I dont think they will be around as long as the other siderail red dots, but I do believe of all the russian confederation scopes sold, this and the Kashtan with the rangefinding reticle will be the two that will appreciate in value and collectible status in the future and you will be able to recoup at least what you paid if you dont like and want to sell .Not disappointed at all for under 550 w/free ship.Back in the day they were 800-1200 if you could find them and they only were briefly on Kalinkas website and occasionally on gunbroker. Thus ends my write up.Hope this helps.
