Solid, light & looks good too. No spring mods or other tricks required. 115 grain won’t cycle, but 126, 147 & plus P cycle flawlessly. Installation and timing takes no time at all and the best part? Tighter and more accurate groupings on rapid fire. Go have fun & always be safe.

Bought this for my Walther PDP 5" Pro. Read somewhere that I should run 500 rds through the pistol before installing. Not sure why, so havent actually utilized the part yet. Appearance wise, it looks very nicely made. Chose this as the set screws dont touch the threaded portion of the barrel and part has some nice detailing on it. I will post another comment after I shoot with it. Optics P. does offer another compensator made specifically for my pistol, and probably should have ordered that part, but this one looked cooler... It doesnt however fit flush against the barrel slide as there is a small gap . Not sure if that is normal.

The new model with fins to match up with the rounded slides of the 5th generation glock make it look so smooth and sleek. I was so excited when I took this out for the first time. Looks great, no totally convinced I feel recoil reduction but it is what it is.
Best Used for:
- Target shooting & competition

Got this along with an AW threaded barrel for a gen5 G45. Took me forever to install (install was easy though) and get to the range but was really exited to try it out. Every round jammed. Went home, cleaned and relubed the G45 and got hotter loads. No improvement. After a bunch of research and reading I got a lighter spring. No help. Now I do like the G45 with the threaded barrel and lighter spring (18lb), but this is now a $100 paperweight. (I had gotten rid of the packaging so no return)
I did contact Zev and they said they only can speak to using it with their barrels. That's fair. But I'm not dropping more $ just to try to get this working just yet.
It does look great on the Glock profile, and again, I really wanted it to work. I might try again once my spring is broken in more.
Cons:
- FTE, stuck shells
- Hotter loads did not help

Works very well with 128gr 9mm. Overall, I am very happy with the comp for the price and how it matches the look of a Zev. I wish it had a shroud? at the bottom of the comp to keep the comp on straight and hold the screw for the recoil spring from falling out?
Cons:
- needs a shroud at the bottom

This compensator works well BUT on my Glock 19x, even with a 15lb recoil spring, it only wanted to cycle really hot ammo. That being said, it took some of the bite out of what I was shooting and as long as I kept feeding it Winchester active duty 115 grain, it worked flawlessly. Also extremely easy to install. I don't understand how any of these other reviewers had issues with installation. Screw it on until it stops then unscrew it one full rotation plus whatever else you need to get it straight and then tighten each bolt to NO MORE than 30ft/lbs of torque. I just tightened it hand tight and then did a 1/4 turn on each bolt. It hasn't come loose at all after hundreds of rounds. Pretty sick if you ask me.

Haven't been able to test it out yet as I just got it. but it was real easy on the install, and it looks so clean all together. Would definitely recommend zev tech again. Got it for my gen 3 glock 17 and used a killer innovations barrel to mount it. Looks and feels great.

I bought this for a Zev glock that had a threaded barrel. When shooting the nut wanted to come of constantly.
This compensator fixed that problem as well as tamed the recoil. Easy install and it looks great.

I just received the Zev comp v2…. Either this is a used or returned item, or Zev’s QC is lacking. This Comp is missing the pair of screw bolts to secure it to the threaded barrel. Useless without the screw bolts.
