Are All 10/22 Parts Interchangeable?

For the most part, yes, all standard Ruger 10/22 parts are interchangeable.

The exceptions are the Ruger 10/22 Takedown series. The Takedowns have different receivers, different barrels, and different stocks to accommodate the takedown feature. However, magazines, trigger groups/trigger assembly, and other gun parts will typically fit.

What Are the Different Models of the Ruger 10/22?

  • As of 11/2022, Ruger has 18 different models of the Ruger 10/22 Carbine listed in current production.
  • They have 13 different models of the Ruger 10/22 Takedown listed.
  • They have 10 different models of the Ruger Charger, including several Charger Takedown models. The Charger is actually a handgun, not a rifle or carbine, but it is based on the Ruger 10/22 so many parts, like magazines, are interchangeable.
  • The Ruger Precision rimfire is not a 10/22, but it also uses the same magazines.

Does Ruger Still Make the 10/22 Rifle?

Yes! The Ruger 10/22 has been in continuous production since 1964.
