In the event of an emergency, the Sierra 8-1/2 inch Primer Bulb w/ FKM Material looks, feels, and operates like the original design. The 8 1/2 inch overall length includes the 2 bolts and doubles as a filler bulb for your plastic top gas tank. When priming your gas tank, a "primer bulb" is required and these are the closest you can get to original. The plastic top primer bulb needs to be able to physically withstand a primer bulb pressurization. The plastic top primer bulb needs to be able to physically stand up to a primer gun. Many older replacement bulbs have soft rubber tips and should only be primed with plastic primer, according to EPA and OSHA regulations.
