How is the other end of the cable fastened to another object? Expert Answer

The other end of the cable is a loop, you would wrap it around the object you are securing the safe to, and then pass the end of the cable through the loop until it's tightened on the object then secure the end to your safe.

For holding a weapon in the car it is effective and provides a minimum amount of security. No safe will be effective against a persistent thief but this safe would be effective against a smash and grab punk.
