The VISM Tactical Sling is an enhanced version of the SCS Sling that was originally designed to be a 1 to 1 convertible sling. However, using the one to 1 convertible sling is not ideal for all situations. It is bulky and cumbersome to perform a 1 to 1 conversion, as the majority of the force has to be off the gun to engage the target. While the 1 to 1 convertible sling is excellent for dynamic entry operations, dynamic climbing, controlling detainees, and perimeter duties, it simply cannot be used for 2 to 1 gun training. With that being said, the following improvements make the TCS Sling one of the most versatile slings on the market. The Sling features a large, stowable, quick-release buckle that keeps the sling securely in place when in use and a side release buckle that is intended to stay attached to the weapon at all times. The 3/8in wide shock cords at the rear end of the TCS Sling allow for a snug sling fit while still allowing for easy cross shoulder transition. Additionally, the female component of the side release buckle stays attached to the sling, so the sling retains its relative orientation when the release buckle is disengaged. The advantage of this design over other 1 point slings is that if it becomes necessary to unhook the weapon from your body, the webbing that the sling is attached to remains wrapped around your body when the release buckle is disengaged. This provides a great deal more versatility and safety.
