The Spuhr SCP-4001 Rifle Scope Front Mount is a two-ring design made to be used on Picatinny rails. The one-ring design of this Rifle Scope Base from Spuhr is designed for lightweight hunting rifles equipped with ISMS or ISMS-LWP systems; the lower ring is designed to prevent the shooter's hand from moving forward or back while the top ring supports the scope. The lower ring also features a Picatinny interface/groove for mounting Picatinny panels or carrying handles, a bubble level for dead-on vertical alignment or a bubble level for dead nuts. The upper ring of the Spuhr SCP-4001 Rifle Scope Mount is designed to accept a Picatinny scope base while the lower ring is optimized for use on a Picatinny rail. You'll be able to attach almost any Rifle Scope or Rifle Scope to this Spuhr Rifle Scope Mount thanks to the unique design of the internal spring. The special design of the Spuhr SCP-4001 Scope Mount features two rings - one classic and one interface - that can be rotated to position the interface in either the 12-o'clock or 3-o'clock position. The two rings on this Spuhr Rifle Scope Base are staggered to avoid the possibility of an oversized gap - a common problem with other Rifle Scope mounts. For optimum performance, the inner ring of the SPOUR SCP-4001 Rifle Scope Base features a special alignment spring. The back of the mount has a knurled surface. This surface gives the user the ability to align the Rifle Scope in both the bore and tube. This is to prevent damage to the sealing surface of the mount. When used on Spuhr Rifle Scope Bases, the knurled surface minimizes material and reflections.
