An improved, powder-metallurgy expression of time-honored VG-10 stainless steel, CPM SPY27s advanced alloy formula contains vanadium, molybdenum, niobium, and nitrogen, all enhanced by the amplifying effects of the steels signature elementcobalt. Together they create a blade steel that offers an impressive balance of edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance. The MicroJimbos full-flat-ground Wharncliffe blade takes full advantage of these properties to deliver cutting performance far beyond its compact size.
