Will this work for the protac 2L-X?

This does not fit the Protac 2L-X. The diameter of the male threads on the switch is smaller than the diameter of the female threads on the Protac 2L-X.

The Streamlight 88098 Remote Switch and Tailcap is designed to be used with the Streamlight ProTac Rail Mount 1 and the Streamlight ProTac Rail Mount 2. This remote switch with tailcap is a replacement to be used with the ProTac weapon light and long barrel weapons with MIL-STD-1913 rails. Provides constant and momentary flashlight activation with the push of a button. Features a remote pressure switch with tailcap, protected switch for added security, momentary or constant activation for weapon light, and a matte black color to prevent reflections.image
