Televue Walnut Mount Gibraltar-5 with Sky Tour System GWS-5017 mates the standard Gibraltar tripod with a new larger, heavier alt-az head. The Gibraltar5 Walnut/Sky Tour mount head is an inch wider than the original TeleVue Tele-Pod Head (TPH-1016), has larger bearings, and cradle holes to accept TeleVue NP127 baseplate as well as all other Tele Vue telescopes. The Gibraltar5 Walnut Mount w/ Sky Tour Tripods are finely crafted and made in walnut wood for beauty and quick vibration dampening.
The Tele Vue Walnut Sky Tour Gibraltar 5 includes Tele Vue Sky Tour System winch is preinstalled at the factory, making set-up easy and fast. The Televue Sky Tour Object Locator adds "brains" to your Tele Vue mount. With its exclusive Lorenzin 2000+ database and refinements such as dimmable red light display, backlit button names, 10-character speed-adjustable scrolling display, and advanced "identify" capability, Sky Tour from TeleVue brings the hand-held computer to a new feature/performance level - a Tele Vue level of convenience and ease of use. When Sky Tour is added to Tele Vue mounts, the total system is simple enough to encourage beginners, yet deep enough for experts to maintain a lifetime of observing enthusiasm.
