Product Info for Ten Ryu TR-014 Jintachi 40" Overall
The Ten Ryu Sword is a traditional style Japanese sword used for cutting, slashing and thrusting. The curved blade is designed for stabbing, not for chopping, however, our carbon steel blade (unlike most made in specialized factories) is good for thrusting as well. The traditional black and white lacquer-finished black scabbard matches the blade and replicates the style of the original. The traditional black and white striped white scabbard is used for transportation and storage, but may be used for cutting as well. The black scabbard is antiqued and is used for demonstrations if desired. The Ten Ryu Sword is protected by a traditional black and white lacquer scabbard and stored in a brown cloth bag. It comes with a traditional black and white lacquered wood sword bag. The traditional black and white striped wood saya is used for decoration only and not for cutting.
