The double-junction configuration allows for better penetration of the electrode in the medium to increase specific conductivity. The enhanced selectivity of this electrode makes it a good choice for applications with a high degree of conductivity such as petroleum refining, natural-gas pipelines, steel works, glass containers, and sewage works. The improved selectivity of this electrode makes it suitable for a variety of processes involving acid and base treatment, as well as for soft water and acid-leaching (selt) treatment. Included in the package are small plastic capsules filled with calcium ions which can be easily lost during a cleaning procedure. For best results, replace the battery after each use and check the cable occasionally for any clogs.
