Built-in automatic temperature compensation warms the junctions of the taper (if frozen) during storage. Cold junctions develop less voltage across the taper, improving measurement accuracy. Tape remains attached to the electrode throughout the measurement. Tape can also be removed while still attached to the taper. Integrated sealing gasket helps prevent moisture from entering the electrode during use. The PTFE electrode has an insulating coating that prevents electrical shorts and opens easily for replacement. Another electrode option is the ATC, which features an automatic temperature compensation that senses the temperature of the taper during operation and stores it until use. Its storage, polarity, and operational temperature ranges make it useful for a wide variety of applications, including pH measurements. All electrodes are supplied with a BNC connector and a retaining nut for a secure, trouble-free connection to any computer, printer, or photocopy machine.
