This versatile centrifuge is ideal for a wide variety of molecular and microbiology laboratory applications that require a high volume of extremely pure DNA pellets. Enhanced features include a reversible lid with left or right ejection ports that open / close automatically, an electronic speed controller, a high capacity gasket-free centrifuge rotor, and a small footprint with high-impact rotor housing make it excellent for all freeze-thaw applications. The lyophilizer has an automatic stop/start function, a programmable timer, and a high-temperature Delrin rotor. All models are pre-assembled and tested in accordance with the FDA guidelines for current Good Manufacturing Practices. In addition to the rotor, the Heraeus Megafuge 1.0 and 1.0R are equipped with a lid that opens and closes automatically. To preserve the lid, please remove the lid covers before engaging the rotor. Both lids incorporate an anti-spin safety feature. The rotor is easily removed for cleaning.
