A fast and easy way to determine ionic strength without a refractometer. Colored white powder helps identify which ions are present. Not all ions are present in the same solutions. Color changes from one solution to another. The color changes can be monitored and compared to the color of the solution being adjusted. The ORION PLUS is a dual-ion strength unit. Color indicates when the change from one solution to another is more than one unit. Insert ORION PLUS into the solution being adjusted. Once the change in color is recognized, the color change displays in a different color. All solutions are easily removed by plugging the ORION PLUS into the receptacle of a probe or electrode and returning the probe or electrode to the holder. The pins do not require disassembling.
