Product Info for Titan Damascus Steel Fixed Knife Blade KnifeTD-037

The Damascus steel blade is made in the old world style, where the blade is ground convex, creating a long flowing edge. This design has proven to be very popular for a very long time, as seen in the movie "Blade". It provides a razor-sharp, fine distal tapered point with great strength and excellent balance. The Damascus steel fillet knife is a tribute to France's Thiers, whose expertise in forge-making and steel-forging provided France this very special name. The name "Damascus" is a combination of carbon steel from France's finest producers, most notably Carbone D'Argent, also known as "Damascus steel". The name itself is an acronym that when translated into English it is "Damascene steel", the forge uses French Damascus steel, which is a special blend of carbon, nitrogen and oxygen. The alloy provides not only good general-purpose cutting power, but also excellent corrosion and heat resistance. The steel provides not only the strength of a full tang knife, but also a stiffer, more stable spine and an acute point. By holding a knife with a dull blade you will experience firsthand the quality of a European dagger, and appreciate the beauty of this extraordinary blade. The blade is designed to be sharp and strong, making it a great razor.image
