The Tops Knives CAT #200 Tactical Series Masur Blade Tactical Fixed Blade Knife was initially designed for a specific mission that required a strong, large, and versatile blade. However, the CAT #200 ended up being a very good general purpose fixed blade knife that can handle a variety of other tasks. The versatility of this knife begins with the steel used, the high luster powder coating, and the traction coating on the blade. The traction coating on the blade allows you to get a good solid grip on the knife, regardless of the weather conditions. The brass pinstripe along the spine of the hammer and the two set of scales (one on each side) enhance the grip on the knife. The two part handle uses a full tang construction to give you even more stability and strength. The enlarged finger hole allows you to have a good hold on the knife with or without gloves. The red G10 handle is textured with vertical and horizontal ridges to create a sure grip. The Kydex sheath with an ambidextrous lanyard hole makes it easy to draw the CAT #200 from its sheath with or without a belt. The rounded butt brings the blade and handle together as one unit. The rounded butt on the blade (on the larger models only) enhances the grip by creating more surface area for your thumb to have a good grip on. The Kydex sheath also has a reversible retention system so the knife can be worn in the vertical (hoes) or the tip up (wrist) for an added measure of safety. There is also a small compartment on the inside of the sheath for temporary attachment of a lanyard or lanyard. Just one screw - no matter how good your knife is - it will get the job done!
