Product Info for TOPS Knives Wilderness Guide 4.38in Fixed Blade Knife

If you are lucky enough to have some experience with TOPS Knives, then you know the Wilderness Guide 4.0 has been a staple design for them, originating from one of Leo Espinoza's early creations. While working as a photographer for TOPS, Leo was using a wad of modeling clay to prop up knives for pictures. As he absentmindedly squeezed the clay and set it aside, he later noticed the impression left behind would make a great knife handle. Recently, he wanted to update the design with a thicker, more rounded handle, a slightly thicker blade stock, and a Kydex sheath instead of the original nylon one. The bullnose drop-point tip is particularly strong, making it excellent for prepping fire boards for friction fires. Its less pointed tip also makes skinning game easier without the risk of puncturing hides. This tool is useful and appropriate for hunting, bushcrafting, and any chore that needs a reliable fixed blade.
