The step mechanism, a patented elevator mechanism, reaches from the ground level to 7 inches for 7 inches of vertical adjustment. The patented elevator mechanism engages an active safety valance so that the RV landing gear does not activate the step while descending or ascent. The valance ensures the RV is not gaining or losing ground once the vehicle is set. The patented leg gear also senses and follows the curvature of the road and corrects the step automatically, so you don't have to worry about clearance issues.
