TruGlo Brite-Site Tritium/Fiber Optic Green/Yellow Sights combine both tritium (lamps) and fiber optics! This is the first of its kind combining glowing tritium and fiber-optic sights. Truglo calls their Brite-Site sights "night-vision compatible", using tritium lamps for day and tritium lights for night. For night and for night the sights provide great visibility. This is accomplished by the two light sources that are within the tritium portion of the sight. No batteries or light exposure is needed. The front sight has a green tritium portion that glows in the dark, and the red fiberoptic portion is concealed within the yellow fiberoptic portion of the sight, so it cannot be seen by the target. Tritium lamps have their own compartment within the sight base, so the tritium glows without light or power. The rear sight has a bright yellow fiberoptic portion that illuminates the sight picture and assists with acquisition in low light situations. The sights also have a snag-resistant design, so they fit most standard holsters. The constant glow of the sights keeps them from being accidentally activated when sitting in a holster. Your sights will always be on, and ready to take a beating from the rigors of a hard use period.
