The M1 Rifle Sling is a lightweight sling that attaches to modular equipment using a MALICE Clip (not included). The sling provides multiple points of connection for various equipment, but can also function as a stand-alone sling. The modular design allows the sling to be attached to either a rifle, shotgun, or handgun and the modular attachment design allows the sling to be pulled in any direction. The sling provides a 1.25in wide webbing that is soft and cushiony, allowing the sling to be very comfortable across many different configurations. The quick-release buckle at the gun end allows the user to remove the firearm from the sling without having to use any force to achieve so; this prevents the sling from being pulled out of the users field of vision, which is extremely useful when trying to position the firearm in the field in rapidly changing conditions. The sling attaches to modular equipment using a universal webbing that accepts belt loops, so the sling can be easily looped through the webbing of other modular equipment.
