Featuring a lightweight and one-piece design, the Hyper-Light MK7 Magnesium Free Float Handguard gives shooters a tremendous advantage with mounting options and versatility.Featuring MLOK mounting points at the front and the rear, the handguard offers plenty of space for mounted accessories.The MLOK mounting points allow shooters to easily configure the layout to their needs; either by adding smaller sections of MLOK rail to the handguard or expanding the use of the handguard with larger sections of MLOK such as MLOKs back up braces. The front section of the handguard features MLOK slots at the top and the back section of the handguard. Machined from a magnesium/aluminum alloy, the handguard is overall 30% lighter than that of a typical 6061 aluminum handguard.The handguard featured two main sections with a single section of MLOK mounting points at the front and the rear. The front section features two magnesium heat shields that minimize weight as much as possible. The rear section of the handguard features two magnesium anti-rotation lugs that ensure proper cooling of the handguard.The Handguard also featured a single magnesium anti-rotation lug at the rear of the handguard. This feature lessens the burden on the front end of the weapon when under stress or when under fire.
