The new FLX-38 is basically an FLX-30 on STEROIDS. The main difference is that the FLX-38 has VariMax mode and range control knobs. These controls present us with the ability to give the angler more control without over complication and are easier to turn with heavy winter gloves on. The new VariMAX range control gives the angler push button power on/off, auto ranging, 1ft depth ranges from 5ft to 30ft, as well as manual ranges down to 300ft allowing the angler to have complete use of the entire screen no matter how deep it is. The VariMax mode control can not only cycle between 15 frequencies, 7 power levels, and 5 color pallets but it also allowed us to completely redesign their auto zoom function that has become a necessary tool for any angler. Auto zoom in the past was limited to set zoom windows being the bottom 6ft, 12ft, or 18ft of the water column. With the new VariMAX mode control you now can control the zoom window size in 1ft increments from 6ft to 18ft as well as positioning that zoom window anywhere in the water column with the new feature of Manual Zoom. The FLX-38 will come standard with 12v 12amp Vexilar lithium battery and 2.5-amp rapid charger, rod holder, along with the transducer support arm. NO FLOAT! It will come with the NEW Pro Pack Elite pack that will have 2 USB ports in the front. The battery will now be enclosed in the back with a cap that has 2 permanent rod holders, a x 20 brass insert for those that want to add accessories like a camera or Go Pro. There are two slots in back for needle nose and toothpick.
