Midpoint heat provides the stable environment for antibody or antibody-modifying agents during incubation, so that they can be introduced into the reaction chamber without causing a temperature shock. The heater is effective for a variety of in vitro applications, such as secondary antibody production, blocking, neutralization, and blocking of bacterial recombination. The seeder tray keeps the heater evenly distributed over the entire sample surface and allows the user to easily place a weight on the center tray to anchor the heater in place. After an incubation period, the weights are returned to the user and the lid is locked. There is a visible heat indicator in the lower portion of the heating surface, indicating proper functioning. The use of an adhesive mating surface between heater and the sample further reduces the chance of contamination between the heater and the sample.
