Product Category Description:

With the same material as the bottom of centrifuge tubes, these 10 VWR Conical-Bottom Centrifuge Tubes, PTFE have a slightly larger base for better centrifugation. These tubes are very lightweight, and their PTFE material helps to eliminate the possibility of sample cross-contamination. The top of each tube is cone-bottom shaped, and the PTFE material helps to prevent any sample abrasion within the tube. These tubes feature a hemispherical top, a normal sighting end, and a flat end; there are no spout or lip at the lab end of the tube. For this reason, they are also often used as blood bank tubes, urine tubes, and other sterile tube containers. Simply put, tubes with a cone-bottom shape and a PTFE material are excellent centrifuge tubes. The PTFE material will not react with acid or alkalis, and you may centrifuge them with the lid off. These tubes do not require disassembly for use, even with the tightly closing lid. Each tube has an incorporated shrink gauge. Ordering Information: Packages include 10 tubes per each.
