These polypropylene (PP) tubes are made of a uniformly translucent, FDA-grade, cross-linked polyethylene (DE) that exhibits a lower freezing point than the surrounding, unlined material. Tubes are supplied with a ST stopcock and a color-coded cap attached. Orient any tube for optimal bacterial isolation and cultivation, or provide for selective media use based on sample size, shape, or color. Tubes with wider mouths are ideal for consolidating media, aspirates, and sedimentation. Many contain polyethylene, which tends to cloud the ST stopcock and may not be present in the actual sample.
