Convector heat source uses induction heating to provide a uniform heat distribution. The induction coil may be operated from either the cold or hot side. Rated for 550W load current, the induction base circulates warm air over the surface of the liquid without evaporation, eliminating the need for water evaporation. The induction base minimizes heat loss from porous surfaces and the tapered shape traps a significant amount of warm air. A slight depression in the center of the element provides effective leak detection. The element has a patented built-in overflow prevention system. The Delrin-Moening surface treatment of the contact area prevents the bonding of the elements to the service blanket. A red core insulator is provided along the contact surface to prevent short-circuiting of the system. A removable drip tray is included with the element. A certificate of compliance is provided from SDS.
