Sorption-generating crystals are washed away during the evaporation process, leaving the user with a crystal cluster that is easily exchanged by the user through the removal process of the evaporating liquid. The solid surface of the H2 desiccant can be fried to produce a fine powder, or a zeolite may be placed in the top of the cartridge. After the chromatographic solvent has been absorbed by the honeycomb structure of the honeycomb, a small amount of water from the process efflux can be removed with a small amount of the dried honeycomb to prevent any liquid from leaking out of the openings.
