Made of high-quality polypropylene plastic, these clear microcentrifuge tubes are designed to be filled with a standard microcentrifuge tube needle, a toothpick, or other implement. The long, easy-to-screw tube ends with a cap feature molded airtight sealing rings and no leakage. Tubes are color-coded with an increasing number of tubes containing graduation marks every two tubes. Vacuum-formed polypropylene tubes without a cap feature a small butt-top opening, and without a secondary sealing ring inside the tube neck. Caps have an increased diameter compared to traditional microcentrifuge tubes, eliminating any possibility of contamination from powder in the cap. Large tubes feature a wider range of cc per tube, allowing many samples to be taken at once. With this expanded choice of cap colors, tubes with clear caps are easier to identify in storage. The tops of all tubes are color-coded for sample identification. Tubes with a loop cap offer an added measure of safety. All caps are hermetically sealed with O-rings and provide a liquid tight seal. For filling with gas or liquid nitrogen, tubes with large O-rings are color-coded for easy opening in the laboratory.
