The Signature Inoculating Loops and Needles are manufactured from a high quality borate plastic that has been sterilised. The loops are designed to fit the hemispherical shape of the slide. The concave end of the needle is designed to fit snugly into the groove of the slide. The point of the needle is designed to be large enough to permit several pulls without breaking the tip. The low-density polyethylene (LDPE) plastic of the loops and needles permits an increase in the effective volume of inoculum without causing any damage to the slide. The low-density polyethylene (LPDE) plastic of the loops and needles resist breakage and damage from chemicals and ultra violet rays.
