Product Category Description:
These specific gravity hydrometers are designed to measure the specific gravity of heavy liquids. The long, narrow glass bulb at the top of the instrument allows close monitoring of the solutions while the stopcock on the other end provides a standard or calibrated constant dew point. The longer, narrower stem will accommodate wider or deeper samples. The lower half of the stem contains the retracted stopcock for tighter filling. The wider, open bottom is excellent for filling with dry powders or granular media. The orifice at the bottom of the instrument is ideal for filling glass bottles and tubes.
