For their penchant for rotational motion, these stir bars also incorporate a radial rib (notches) around the entire circumference which facilitates stirring in cornered vessels. And because of the ribs around the circumference, these Bel-Art VWR Spinbar Magnetic Stirring Bars allow the stirring of highly viscous liquids, such as viscous suspensions, in which larger stirring bars cannot reach, making them excellent for stirring blood-tingled or other viscous solutions. Bel-Art VWR Spinbar Magnetic Stirring Bars are color-coded, and each size has a separate color coding system. The color coding has an end face so that the user can easily correlate the color with the size of the stirring bar in order to determine the size of the vessel in which the stirring bar is to be placed.
