The glass encapsulation of the magnet provides inert, chemical-resistant performance and gives it higher chemical resistance than either Alnico or magnet-coated surfaces. The smooth, hardened glass surface eliminates scratching and gives a quieter stirring surface. Alnico magnet provides high magnetic strength without concern of damage from abrasion; magnet will not demagnetize.
